About the Author

Joe R. Fowler was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS with honors, MS, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering. After 2 years with Texaco, he cofounded Stress Engineering Services, Inc. in 1972 and became President in 1984. In his 31 years as President, he oversaw the growth of Stress to a major consulting firm solving difficult technical problems for over 800 industrial customers a year out of 5 offices.
